Beauty Pageant Ends In A Brawl As Audience Fight Over Controversial Choice Of Winner (PHOTOS)

Must read

A ten-person gang attacked staff with punches, glasses and even handbags after deciding the winner of the contest was ‘fixed’ when their favourite, Shannon, was eliminated.

The scene at the Scarborough Fair Collection on the Flower Of May holiday park was likened to that of a Carry On film as police were called, pensioners were knocked to the ground and the glammed-up contestants wept in fear.

MISS

Miss England organiser Angie Beasley said that, in her 26 years of running beauty contests, she had never come across such an ugly turn of events.

‘Emotions run high at these events, and you are bound to want your girl – but these people don’t care what people think and it’s a great shame that it was ruined,’ she explained.

The crowd hissed and booed as 18-year-old Jess Gale was crowned the winner, and she was forced to endure chants of ‘Fix! Fix!’ as she collected her tiara on Saturday night.

PAGENT

Pageant organiser Diane Yalezo said she cried for days after the thugs ‘completely’ ruined the celebration for Miss Gale.

North Yorkshire Police said: ‘Police were called at around 11.45pm on Saturday 12 April, to the Flower of May holiday park, Lebberston, following reports of a disturbance.

‘When officers arrived at around 11.50pm, the situation had calmed down. We have not received any complaints and no one has been arrested in connection with the incident.’

The culprits have now been sent warning letters by Pubwatch threatening they will be barred from local boozers if they misbehave again and Mrs Yalezo has said alcohol consumption will be restricted at future events.

Miss Gale will now go on to represent Scarborough at the Miss England final in Torquay in June.
