[dropcap]D[/dropcap]ame Patience Jonathan, former first lady of Nigeria and wife of Nigeria’s most celebrated president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan visited her native home, Okrika, on Saturday, July 16, 2016 to participate in the funeral ceremony of late Queen Comfort Kaine Obudibo, wife of His Royal Highness, King E. T. I. Obudibo, Ikwo V., Amayanabo of Ogoloma.

Dame Patience’s visit was greeted with great excitement by natives and visitors who also came to pay their last respect to the deceased.

On Her Excellency’s entourage to Okrika were top government functionaries of the Rivers State government that included Rt. Adams Dabotorudima, speaker, Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Evans Bipi, chief whip of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Sammy Okpoko, secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Rivers State, Prof. Obianime, special adviser to the Rivers State Governor on project monitoring and evaluation.

Others on the Mrs. Jonathan’s entourage include Alhaji Aribitonye Mohammed Okiri, special adviser to the Rivers State governor on Niger Delta Development Commission, Oraye St. Franklyn Esq., senior special assistant to the Rivers State governor on social media, and a host of others including the members of the Women for Change Initiative, Dame Jonathan’s non-governmental organisation, from across the South South region.
