Police Officer, 80, Repeatedly Rapes 15-Year-Old Girl After Promising To Marry Her

An 80-year-old police officer was arrested for allegedly raping a 15-year-old teenage girl after promising to marry her.

The suspect identified as  John Peck of Welwyn Garden City was charged with indecent assault and sentenced to 22-months imprisonment.

Police officers in the United Kingdom said Welwyn raped the victim seven times rigth from when she was 14.

The victim told the police that Peck kissed her on the lips when she was 14 years old. When she was 15 years old, Peck took her for rides in his car, where sexual activity took place, WWWN reports.

Similar acts are alleged to have taken place in her bedroom at her home. Peck served as a police officer at the Welwyn Garden City police station.

It was learnt that he met the victim through a church and bought her gifts including jewelry with a promise that he would leave hi wife to marry her.
