Police Foil Boko Haram Attack In Kano

An attempt by unknown gunmen, suspected to be members of terror group, Boko Haram to attack Kibiya local government area of Kano State in the late hours of Saturday, February 14, 2015 has been repelled by operatives of the Kano State Police Command.

Spokesman of the Kano State Police, ASP Magaji Majiya confirmed that the attackers, numbering about six, arrived the scene on motorcycles but fled following swift police action.

Majiya further revealed that the attackers fled, leaving one of their motorcycles behind, following a gun battle.

He also stated that although no policeman was killed in the attack, members of the community ganged up and lynched on of the gunmen.
