Police, Youths Thwart Robbery Operation In Warri

Police at B Division, Warri in Delta state with the aid of some youths on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 stopped a robbery attempt by a gang at Okumagba avenue in the area.

The robbery attempt which happened around 1 pm confirmed by DSP Celestina Kalu the police public relations officer of Delta state who affirmed that the DPO of the aforementioned division, Imade Graham heard gunshots while he was in his office, prompting him to mobilize patrol teams to swing into action.

She said “The patrol team, assisted by some youths in the area chased the hoodlums into Okere-Urhobo community. During the pursuit and exchange of fire the hoodlums were forced by the superior fire power of the Police to abandon their operational weapons and flee with bullet wounds.”
