President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday attended the United Assembly General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
In the course of the meeting he held talks with United Nations secretary general Ban Ki-Moon and bi-lateral talks with British Prime Minister, David Cameron.
He later addressed the United Nations security council, where he charged them on the need to join forces against terrorism.
