President Jonathan Mourns C&S Leader, Fakeye

President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday, January 12, 2015 sent his condolences over the death of Gabriel Olubunmi Fakeye, the spiritual head of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, eulogizing Fakeye as a man who inspired and motivated his followers as Nigerians a whole.

President Jonathan’s felicitations was delivered via a statement signed by Reuben Abati, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.

The statement read: “President Jonathan extends heartfelt condolences to Prophet Fakeye’s family, members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church and the Christian community in Nigeria on the demise of the great servant of God.

“The President joins them in mourning the revered spiritual leader who greatly inspired and motivated his followers and other Nigerians with his vibrant elucidation of the Word of God as well as his exemplary lifestyle and moral conduct.

“He also prays that God Almighty will comfort members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, and place the mantle of the Church’s spiritual leadership on a worthy successor to the late Prophet Fakeye.”
