The Punch reported that the crash involved a truck conveying diesel from Kuru to Mararaba Jamaa and driven by a 25 year old man, Abdullaziz Abdulrahman, a resident of Tildin Fulani on Bauchi Road, Jos.

Matthias Tyopev, the spokesperson for the Plateau State Police Command, confirmed the killing, saying the corpse had been deposited at Ola Hospital mortuary in Zawan. He said efforts were being made to arrest the hoodlums.
