Megan Huntsman, 40, was on Monday, 20 April 2015, sentenced to 20 years to life by a Judge in Utah for killing her six children and burying their bodies in her garage, while a seventh one, a still born, was found in the garage. Megan pleaded guilty to all the crimes in February.
The children were killed over a ten year period, 1996 and 2006. She admitted to killing the children because of her addiction to methamphetamine as she did not want the added responsibility of taking care of children.
Investigation showed that the children were all full term babies and DNA testing showed that five of the children were girls and the other two, boys.
She faced a sentence of five years to life for each death and the judge ordered three of the sentences to run concurrently which means Huntsman is facing twenty to life.
Her estranged husband discovered the bodies of the children in April 2014 and further DNA testing showed that he fathered all seven children.
