I cannot put in my best to build up an organization, educate myself in every way, hoping to impact positively on others, and when it’s time for an elevation, when it’s time for organizational election, you tell me that it’s a taboo for a woman to compete with men.
The only man I am forbidden to contest against, by no one but my conscience, is my HUSBAND because, the Bible says that the husband is the crown of the woman and that doesn’t in any way mean all men is her crown.
I am equal with any other man or woman out there, all you need to prove otherwise is to do something outstanding and I will stand aside for you but not give up my identity for you. And I expect the man to stand aside when I excel above him and not ridicule my success. Just because he feels that women only achieve their goal by sleeping their way into a man’s bed doesn’t make it true. If she’s qualified, let her try her luck.
Let’s not abuse FEMINISM because a few women abuse the word, it’s a movement for the good of all, including your daughters.
The days of slavery is over. The days when a woman’s place is ONLY in the midwife’s lodge and kitchen is over.
Without a fair playing ground, we wouldn’t have had an Okonjo Iweala, Dora Akunyili etc, or don’t you know that they won against some men to get there?
