“In all labor there is profit, but idle chatter leads only to poverty.” Proverbs 14:23 NKJV
A hardworking person is diligent, committed and puts in a lot of time and energy to what he’s doing. He’s not a lazy person; not an idle person either; he doesn’t get tired quickly; he is focused and not easily distracted by unnecessary and unimportant things; he works when it’s time to work instead of playing during working hours.
“If you work hard,” the Bible says, “you will have plenty. If you do nothing but talk, you will not have enough.” Many times, success and results are proportionate to effort. If you do little work, don’t expect as much success or result as the one who worked more. If you want more, then do more.
I am aware of grace; but we seem to misunderstand it. Grace makes you work even harder; grace gives strength to do much more work than others instead of doing less. Paul said, “But, because of God’s grace, that is what I am. And his grace that he gave me was not wasted. I worked harder than all the other apostles. (But I was not really the one working. It was God’s grace that was with me.)” 1 Corinthians 15:10. Brothers and sisters, Jesus was hardworking. That’s Someone Who the Bible said came with grace! Be like Him. Have a change of attitude towards your work. And success shall be yours in Jesus name. Amen.
