A lot of us don’t understand what it means for the righteous to be in authority. Righteous leadership is not necessarily Christian leadership, even though that’s what it should mean: righteous leadership is having people in authority who do what is right.
Christians are righteous by virtue of being in Christ; unfortunately, not many Christians in authority are doing what is right. That’s why nations with unbelievers in authority doing what is right are far better than so called Christian nations. 1 John 3:7 talks about doing righteousness. Stop claiming righteousness and start doing righteousness. That’s what makes you genuine.
Until we start doing what is right, and using leadership rightly, there’ll be no significant progress. Voting is good, but we must elect leaders with the will to do what’s right in both the sight of God and man. And remember, good leadership begins in our homes, schools, churches, and places of work. Amen.
