I have learned that God never deposits all wisdom and knowledge in one man, neither does He reveal everything to a generation: He does so, so that we see the need for other people, and for us to depend on each other, and on Him.
It doesn’t matter how intimate you are with the Holy Spirit, you are always going to need to hear the voice of another human being about the issues of life and of the kingdom. Cornelius saw and heard an angel, but the angel asked him to send for Peter to tell him what to do: Jesus appeared to Paul, but He still said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
“Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.” Proverbs 11:14. If you refuse to listen you will suffer loss and your progress will be limited. Connect yourself to people who are able to always give you good counsel; God put people in your life for a reason, don’t ignore them.
