It doesn’t matter what a person has done, whatever the sin, Jesus died and made forgiveness available for every sinner. And you know, forgiveness is just the first step: when a person is forgiven, that person is justified, and is at peace with God.
The death of Jesus wasn’t man’s idea, it was God’s idea. In other words, it was God Who initiated the plan and the process for our salvation. Jesus didn’t die for righteous people; we were all sinners when He died! This is something every sinner needs to know. He saw how dirty and messed up we were and chose to die for us. He died for us because He loved us.
The death of Jesus is surely something to be grateful for. We shouldn’t take His death for granted: He was falsely accused, tortured and killed so that you and I could be free from sin, Satan’s bondage, sickness, and guilt: His death gave us eternal life, and made us bonafide sons and daughters of God. Hallelujah!
