Spirit and Life Devotional is a daily publication by Pastor Chinaemerem Ibezim, senior pastor of Able Ministers Chapel, a church based in Calabar, Cross River State. 

“Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident.” Psalms 27:3

David was such a courageous man; by 17 he had already killed a bear and a lion, and then he killed a giant. It’s David who wrote the popular verse; “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” Psalms 23:4

How was David able to become so bold? The answer is simple: he was always conscious of God’s presence with him. And he put his trust in none other than God. He said, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalms 27:1.

You don’t have God and live in fear! You don’t have God and stay afraid of enemies! Is any of them stronger than God? Today, you must organize a funeral for fear! You are righteous; you should be bold as a lion! It doesn’t matter what is reported in the news, neither does the rumour at work or in school; you are like Mount Zion, nothing at all should move you! Yes!
