Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Jesus to you?” And they gave him thirty pieces of silver. So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Jesus (Matthew 26:14-16).
Judas loved money and wanted to make more and more of it; he wasn’t satisfied with the little ones he was stealing since Jesus’ ministry wasn’t rich, so he decided to negotiate with the enemies of his Master, to betray Him, for a reasonable amount. The end of the story is that Judas eventually committed suicide.
How you make your money matters. Is God pleased with how you’re making money? Are you making money at the expense of other people’s wellbeing? Are you sacrificing relationships just to be rich? Can you honestly give God the glory for the money you’ve made?
God is not against you making and having money, but He wants you to make money the right way. He’s even willing to help you make money if you let Him. Make the right decisions regarding money. You will prosper, in Jesus name. Amen.
