About 2.4 million people came out of Egypt, but only 2 adults, Joshua and Caleb, entered the Promised Land. Think about that for a minute.
You cannot have a meaningful relationship with God if you are living in disobedience to His word. He is no respecter of persons. However, a life of obedience will qualify you for His very best.
Christianity is not about how well you can speak in other tongues; if you are not obeying God you are nothing. There’s no substitute for obedience. Everything you need from God is on the other side of obedience. “If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. But if they do not obey, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.” Job 36:11-12
