The church is your spiritual family; don’t ever forget it. The day you believed you became a member of the church, and you are a part of God’s family, both in heaven and on earth.
Your spiritual family is very important. Let me explain it to you. Jesus was preaching one day, and someone said to Him, “Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, desiring to see You.” Jesus’ response was quite interesting: He said, “My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.” Luke 8:19-21. Wow!
Don’t ever joke with your spiritual family, and don’t take the church for granted. Members of the Early Church lived together and shared everything they had. That’s how important church was to them. The love you have for your biological family shouldn’t be more than the love you have for your spiritual family. As hard as it sounds, it’s true! Let brotherly love continue.
