The importance of understanding cannot be overstated: King Solomon said, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7.
Understanding puts you in a different category; it makes you a master and a leader over others. Daniel 11:33 says that those who understand will instruct many. Understanding determines how far and how high you’ll go. It’s very important.
One way to get understanding is through reading. When you read good books, you receive revelation and mysteries will be simplified. If you are not reading, certain things will remain hidden from you. Daniel said, “In the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the Lord through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.” Daniel 9:2
Get good books and read them patiently. And most importantly, read the Bible. Psalm 119:99 says, “I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation.” That will be your testimony in Jesus name. Amen.
