To me, this is one of the most interesting passages of the Bible. It says that the inheritance of the tribe of Judah was too much for them, so they had to share it with the tribe of Simeon. Think about it for a minute.
We are in a world where there’s nothing like “too much”, a world where people keep accumulating and are never satisfied; we want more and more, and some more! Sometimes we need to remind ourselves of the words of Jesus, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.” Luke 12:15
If you are fortunate to have much, you must be willing to share with those who do not have. That’s what 1 Timothy 6:18 says: “Tell those who are rich to do good—to be rich in good works. And tell them they should be happy to give and ready to share.” God will bless you as you do. Amen.
