An ebola virus awareness group, “Ebola Alert” has debunked rumours circulated in the media on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 that a 19-year old Ahmada Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna state was down with the dreaded virus.

Following laboratory tests, the unnamed student was said to have been cleared as his test results returned negative.

In a chat with Premium Times on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 an official of the group confirmed that the tests have been concluded and the results were negative.

The group also tweeted about their findings on their @EbolaAlert Twitter page.
