A breakdown being referred to as a ‘nervous shock’ has landed suspended FIFA President, Sepp Blatter in hospital. The 79-year-old who was admitted last week for an initial check-up is expected to remain in hospital till next week.

Blatter who has been in charge of FIFA for 18 years was suspended for 90 days in October 2015 following a corruption scandal.

Days ago, Blatter’s lawyer – Richard Cullen confirmed that the 79-year-old underwent stress-related check up in the hospital but also confirmed that he is fine and will return home shortly.

While Blatter is fighting to return back to his plum job at FIFA, there are already 7 candidates lined up for the FIFA Presidential election which will hold on February 26, 2016.
