Tambuwal: APC Reps Head For Court Today

The All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus of the House of Representatives will on Monday, November 3, 2014 head to court to stop an alleged plot by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to oust the the Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal from office for defecting to the APC.

Leader of the APC caucus, Femi Gbajabiamila confirmed the move on Sunday, November 2, 2014 adding that the PDP caucus have arranged for a meeting with the party leadership to be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Wadata Plaza national headquarters of the ruling party to perfect strategies for the removal of Tambuwal.

He said: “We are ready for the PDP and all those people. They have their plans; we have our own as well. Our prayers in court will be similar in a way to those sought by the speaker, but different in other ways. Everything will be in black and white; we are coming out with a statement soon after filing our case.”

APC House of Representatives members are also planning on holding a parallel meeting on Monday, November 3, 2014 at their national secretariat in Abuja.
