The Taraba State House of Assembly has inaugurated a panel of five to ascertain the true heath status of Governor Danbaba Suntai, following his arrival from the UK recently.
The comes on the heels of receiving a resolution by the state executive council meeting for the month of September.
The setting up of the panel is in line with provisions of Section 189, Sub Section 1b and 189 Sub Section 4 of the constitution which gives the speaker authority to set up a health panel to ascertain governor’s state of health.
Josiah Kente, the speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly said compelled to set up the panel in line with the constitution as the state executive council has mandated him to do so following the passing of their resolution.
