While doctors confirmed the dead of four people including the two bombers, 17 other victims who sustained injuries are being treated by medical personnel.

The professor has been identified as Professor Aliyu Mani and the suicide bomber who detonated the bomb that killed him was a 7-year-old boy.

So tragic!

Boko Haram Defeated – Buhari

Late December 2016, President Muhammadu Buhari declared victory over the Islamist terrorist group after Nigerian troops announced that they have recaptured Camp Zero in Sambisa forest, the base of the deadliest terrorist group in the world.

The Nigerian Army later presented the president with the flag belonging to the terrorist group in a “mission accomplished” ceremony.

Since the declaration a week ahead of Christmas Day 2016, Boko Haram has launched a number of deadly attacks in the North Eastern region of the country where the terrorists have murdered at least 50,000 since they began their campaign to establish an Islamic caliphate in the country.

PREVIOUSLY: Two bombs blasts have reportedly killed many at the mosque of the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, eyewitness reports say.

The bomb blast was reported to have gone off at around 6:30 am when students and staff were observing their early morning prayer.

Sources say the second bomb exploded at the Gate 5 of the institution, killing only the suicide bomber.

An eyewitness, Baba-Gana Ali, a resident of Maiduguri, took to Twitter to give updates. He confirmed the death of a professor of veterinary medicine identified as Mani is among those dead. He also shared graphic photos of the scene of the attack.

Security operatives have been mobilized to the site of the blast.

This is a developing story, more details will be added soon
