Not fewer than five persons were killed by unknown gunmen believed to be Fulani herdsmen on Friday, July 18 , 2014 in Fadan Karshi, Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
According to a resident of the area, the gunmen came with sophisticated weapons had entered the community, shooting anyone at sight while moving from house to house.
He said: “Five people were killed during the attack, and many residents of the village have deserted their homes.”
Following the attack, several people who were injured are currently receiving medical attention at the hospital in the area.
However, the chairman of Sanga Local government, Mr. Emmanuel Adamu who confirmed the incident, described the attack as tragic, adding that necessary measures were being taken to ensure safety of lives and property.
Meanwhile, all efforts to confirm the said attack from the Kaduna state police command was unsuccessful as the spokesman, Aminu Lawan could not be contacted on phone.
