VIDEO: What Okonjo-Iweala Actually Said About Gov’t Savings Under Jonathan [WATCH]

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been in the news for a comment she made in her speech on the topic, Inequality, Growth and Resilience at an economic conference held at The George Washington University in the US.

She spoke on African economies and what policymakers can do to ensure that the growth experiences in African economies are more resilient.

She was quoted as saying that there President Goodluck Jonathan lacked the political will to save. But she has denied indicting President Jonathan for the lack of will to save and said that it was governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who pushed for expenditure of excess crude funds instead of savings.
