A 44 year old man named, Partha Dey, has reportedly spent the last six months of his life living in a room containing the bones of his dead sister in India.
According to reports by the Indian Police, the man lived in his luxury home along with not just the bones of his sister but also that of two dogs. Kolkata Police revealed that when the officers entered the home of the man where they found a dimly lit bedroom with the doors and and windows covered with cloth.
In a corner of the room was found a female skeleton and in another wooden cot, the skeletons of two dogs. Partha’s 77 year old father, Aurobindo Dey, had left the home leaving behind his daughter, Debjani, and two dogs. Police reports that the man, took food thrice daily to his dead sister and even slept on the same bed with her.
In response to why he did what he did, Partha claimed that his dead sister came to life every night to eat all the food he brought. The room was alleged to have been kept very clean and that the sheets on the bed were changed everyday.
The doctor who was called to examine Partha, claimed that he is suffering from hallucinations. He recently quit his job and has kept mostly to himself.
