The National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki on Monday, February 9, 2015 stated emphatically that all known camps of the dreaded Boko Haram sect will be uprooted before the commencement of the general elections on Saturday, March 28, 2015, adding that the elections will not be shifted anymore.
Speaking to AFP, Dasuki said: “All known Boko Haram camps will be taken out. They won’t be there. They will be dismantled. Those dates will not be shifted again,”
Dasuki further expressed optimism that the Multi-Nnation Joint Task Force put together by Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon and Niger would go a long way in stopping the insurgents.
He also said hos call for the posponment of the election was not politically motivated because the decision favours the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC),as the North Eastern part of the country is a major APC stronghold.
He said: “It’s not everybody who does things for selfish reasons. Some of us have a conscience,” he said.
