The governor of River state has dissolved the Independent Electoral Commission and Judicial Service Commission in the state.
This move came after the state assembly directed the governor to dissolve both boards.
The state assembly ordered the members and chairmen of both board give account of their activities within the last two years.
In a statement signed the special adviser on media and publicity, Sir Opunabo, the governor stated that, he acted in line with the directive of the state assembly.
It would be recalled that electoral commission in the state conducted the largely condemned council polls in the state and the judicial service commission took sides with former governor Rotimi Amaechi over the appointment in the state,a move that didn’t go down well with the state assembly.
