Man Undergoes 23 Surgeries To Transform Himself Into Superman (PHOTOS)

Must read

A 37-year-old man has undergone 23 surgeries in 18 years to turn himself into Superman, the Man of Steel.

Herbert Chavez from Calamba City in the Philippines has had nose jobs, skin-whitening, liposuction, jaw realignment, pec implants, bum implants and fillers just to look like his superhero who he fell in love with when he was just five.

So far, Chavez who is now drastically changed has spent around 300,000 pesos (over £4,200) for his obsession with Superman, Clarke Kent.

However, doctors refused to give him the abs of steel which he wished for after they discovered that he had been injecting his chest and abs with fillers which are illegal in the United States.

Chavez appeared on a new episode of E!’s Botched show, where doctors Terry Dubrow and Dr Paul Nassif are horrified to discover he’s been injecting a controversial filler product called MesoLipo into his body.

However, despite being refused a permanent abdominal implant, with the doctors suggesting diet and exercise instead, Chavez denies plastic surgery is his kryptonite.

He said, “What is there for me to regret? Everything that has happened in my life has been positive and because of Superman. When my body says it can not endure it anymore or when my doctor says that my body can not handle it because of age, then I will stop.

“I like to show to the people, especially the children of the Philippines, that I’m here. Superman is real. What I want is to give them inspiration. To give hope.”

Chavez hopes his transformation would serve as an inspiration to others.
