No fewer than four persons were killed and about 20 injured when some gunmen in buses suspected to be cult members invaded the Ebute Metta area of Lagos State.
The hoodlums who were about 10 in number, invaded the area in the midnight of Monday, December 7, 2015.
According to Daily Trust, the gunmen earlier drove to one area at about 9.30pm in two cars and later spread to Odofin, Kano jebba, Osalanke and Bello Streets where they opened fire indiscriminately.
Sources who witnessed the incident said the hoodlums were on a mission to avenge a previous attack by a rival gang.
The corpses of the victims were recovered by police officials attached to the Denton Police Division and operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).
