A Bauchi State Chief Magistrate Court on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 sentenced a 27-year-old mother to six months imprisonment for robbery.
The 27-year-old mother of two identified as Maryam Musa, was arraigned before the court alongside other members of the gang of motorcycle robbers on the charges of criminal conspiracy, theft of about five motorcycles, receiving and being in possession of stolen property.
The gang had apprehended by officers of the Bauchi State Police Command last week.
Maryam was paraded alongside members of her gang on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the police headquarters in the state. Speaking with journalists, she revealed that she was a widow and that she was not guilty of the crime she was charged for.
