The Lagos state government has announced that at least 8 suspected cases of the dreaded Ebola virus has been reported in the city.
All 8 suspected cases are people who came in contact with the first victim, Liberia’s Patrick Sawyer, who died in Lagos shortly after his arrival to Nigeria.
While confirming the reports, Lagos state commissioner of health, Jide Idris said that 2 cases have been confirmed, while the other 6 are still under observation.
Authorities have been monitoring anyone who came into close contact with Sawyer.
