Governor Amosun’s Convoy Involved In Auto Crash

The convoy of the  Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun, had on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at about 9:30 am, crashed with a commercial bus around Sapade-Ajebo stretch along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

It was learnt that a commercial bus carrying foodstuffs heading from the Ibadan area had collided into one of the vehicles among the convoy where some of the governor’s aides were seated.

The damaged vehicle was reportedly taken back to Abeokuta, Punch reports stated.

Speaking about the development, the commissioner for information and strategy, Mr. Yusuph Olaniyonu, disclosed that no the governor together with his aides were in good health as they all came out unhurt after the incident.

In his words,  “The accident only involved one of the vehicles at the rear of the convoy. The governor is alive. All other officials are alive. It was just a minor thing.

“We are already in Ekiti for the inauguration of the new Government House built by Governor Fayemi. Please, help us tell the people that the Governor is alive. The calls have been coming from people asking after his welfare.”
