Unknown gunmen have gruesomely murdered the Deputy Director of Education also a teacher at Government Model College, Otukpo, in Benue State.
The deceased man, Mr Akpa Onyilo, who was married with six children had reportedly gone for a Christian wake keep in the late hours of Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Agbenyojo area of the town.
However, he did not live to tell the story as his lifeless remains was discovered by the roadside in the GRA area in the early hours of the next day.
Operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) picked up the corpse which they duly deposited at the General Hospital in Otukpo.
Reports state that his head was said to be badly damaged while his face was swollen, making it difficult for people to recognise him.
The deceased’s younger brother, Gabriel Ogbole Onyilo, expressed shock over her brother’s death.
He said, “His death is a mystery to us. Where his body was found is a place he hardly goes to.We leave everything to God Almighty to judge.”
Onyilo’s heart broken widow, who also teaches in the Department of Home Economics, College of Education, Oju, said she has handed everything about her husband’s mysterious sudden death to God.
