Former Republican Presidential candidate, Mitt Romney has on Friday, January 30, 2015 announced that he will not be running for the office of President of the United States of America (USA) come 2016.
AP reports that the former Massachusetts governor made the announcement via a conference call to members of his staff.
This comes on the heels of an announcement by Romney on Saturday, January 10, 2015that he would consider starting another campaign in the coming weeks.
His decision not to contest might not be unrelated to reports that most of his major fund raisers has switched allegiance and were now backing ex-Florida Governor Jeb Bush.
Romney was the presidential candidate for the Republican Party in 2012 but lost to President Barrack Obama.
