Buhari’s Aide Escapes Death During APC Guber Primary In Kano

Kawu Sumaila, a special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, on National Assembly matters, House of Representatives, on Sunday, Septemeber 30, 2018, escaped death by whiskers during the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial primary at his ward in Sumaila town.

Kawu was addressing APC supporters in his unit when unknown persons believed to be hired thugs unleashed mayhem on the huge gathering who had turned out to ratified incumbent Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as the sole candidate for the ruling party.

Briefing journalists in Kano shortly after the incident, Hon. Sunmaila, said two suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack, adding that they were been interrogated by Kano state police command.

Magaji Musa Majia, the state public relations officer of police, failed to confirm the incident, adding that he has not been briefed officially on the matter.
