On Thursday, Peter of P-Square reacted to complaints of fans about Soundcity TV not airing their videos. The more outspoken of the twins confirmed that the urban music channel had refused to play their videos and urged fans to watch other stations for their videos.
Soundcity TV through a statement on their website later revealed why they severed ties with the music group. They cited an incident in December 2014 and a statement credited to the group’s elder brother and manager, Jude Okoye as what broke the camel’s back and their subsequent decision to stop airing P-Square’s video.
Jude Okoye who is also known to direct most of his brothers’ videos has now reacted to the claims of the tv station. He revealed that Soundcity makes millions from playing artistes’ videos without paying royalties and so therefore artistes had the right to charge them for shows when invited. Jude who also owns Northside inc. that houses singer, Cynthia Morgan warned the station that P-Square cannot be blackmailed or threatened by them. He made his thoughts known through series of tweets:
Holup holup @SOUNDCITYtv just holup…….
