Card Reader Rejects Bauchi Governor’s 10 Finger Prints

Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State has been denied an exercise of his franchise after the Independent National Electoral Commission’s Card Reader rejected the whole of his ten finger prints on Saturday, March 28, 2015.

Yuguda tried seceral times to have the machine approve his finger prints in his bid to get accredited at his polling unit located at Babasidi Primary School in the state.

Lamenting the development, the governor said, “I used all my fingers; still the machines could not verify me. I was asked to clean my thumb with my clothes, which I did with no result.

“May be there is something wrong with the machines,” he told news later while fielding questions.

Meanwhile, he commended the people of his state for turning out en masse to support their candidates and exercise their political rights.

He said, “I am really impressed that eligible voters turned out massively to exercise their civic rights.”

The governor later filled a form meant for those whose finger-prints were rejected by the machine, to enable him vote.
