Chelsea Beats Man City To Win Champions League 2021

Must read

Chelsea beat Manchester City, 1-0, to win the Champions League final matching two of the richest and talented teams in England’s Premier League.

Chelsea won its second Champions League title on Saturday, May 29, 2021, beating Manchester City, 1-0, in a meeting of deep-pocketed, deeply talented Premier League giants in Porto, Portugal.

Kai Havertz delivered the only goal in a thrilling, taut final marred by a head injury that forced City’s playmaker, Kevin De Bruyne, from the game in the second half.

Chelsea’s title was its second in the competition, club’s soccer’s most coveted title. Its previous win came in 2012.

Defeat was yet another bitter disappointment for Manchester City, which was playing in its first final after a decade in which its spending, its acquisitions, and its ambition have lifted the quality, and the budgets, of teams across Europe.
