Faruk Yahaya, the chief of Army State, has ordered the immediate release of Hannah Sofiat, a female soldier reprimanded for indulging in a public romance with a corps member at the National Youth Service Corps Orientation Camp in Yikpata, Kwara State.
The female soldier was seen accepting a marriage proposal from a corps member simply identified as Remi.
The scene was captured in a video that went viral on social media.
Sofia was said to have been taken into custody on December 14, 2021, for violating the extant rule guiding the conduct of Military personnel when she shared a hug and kiss to the delight of other corps members at the mammy market.
Meanwhile, investigations have revealed that that the duo have been entangled in love for the past three years while in Abeokuta, Ogun State before the lady joined the military.
