For every human desire, God created a means of satisfying it while satan created a means of corrupting it. For instance, God created the desire for sex and then created the institution of marriage in order that that desire should be satisfied to the fulfillment of both parties to the marriage. But satan corrupted the sex desire by tempting men to engage in it before marriage via fornication and when they marry to engage in it outside marriage via adultery. And what has been the result?
Every Sexually Transmitted Disease has its root in the corruption of the sex desire and families and societies suffer strife when children are born out of wedlock. In fact, the first forms of fornication were perpetrated by demons directly. “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose” – Genesis 6:1-2.
Think about this deeply.
There are so many men today who are addicted to adultery or fornication and who have confessed that they no longer derive any joy from these acts yet they cannot stop it. Isn’t it possible that the reason they are addicted to something they do not enjoy any more is because another being is in subtle control of their bodies and derives pleasure from the actions they are engaged in?
This is perhaps why Proverbs 5:15 says, “Drink water from your own well–share your love only with your wife.”
