So many cars these days have a GPS built into them. I have one and it is such a delight. But something happened yesterday. The GPS led me to a route that was blocked by very recent and ongoing construction and I was temporarily lost until I consulted a map of directions which gave me alternative routes which I followed and found my way to my destination. And then the similarities between the spiritual and the natural hit me.
Our consciences are God’s moral compass or GPS that is inbuilt into us. It always tells us what we should do when we face a moral challenge. However, there are times when life’s complexities produce a situation that places an unusual burden on our conscience and the signal we subliminally receive from it are not very clear cut.
At those times, we have to step out of ourselves and consult the map God has given us which are The Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (BIBLE). Doing so will give us moral options that we may take and not derail from the path of life. I hope The Spirit has been of help to you.
