Fear is the result of believing the propaganda of the enemy. The enemy is never as strong as he says he is. However, he needs you to be afraid otherwise he cannot capture you.
Let me go deeper. When Sennacherib, the King of Assyria, wanted to capture Israel, he sent messengers to Israel and of them 2 Chronicles 32:18 says “then they called out in Hebrew to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to terrify them and make them afraid in order to capture the city”. Consider that last part “in order to capture the city”.
In other words, Sennacherib knew that he couldn’t capture Jerusalem if he didn’t first terrify them. So when next the enemy subliminal places terrifying thoughts about your future in your mind know that he is doing this not because those thoughts are true, but because he wants to capture you.
Now which enemy wants to capture something worthless? The mere fact that he wants to capture you should fill you with praise to God that you are so valuable. That attitude will drive out fear and terror from your heart and frustrate the plans of the enemy.
