Fresh Case Of Ebola Confirmed In Scotland

A healthcare worker who had returned to the UK on Sunday, December 28, 2014 after working in West Africa to combat Ebola has been diagnosed with the disease and presently undergoing treatment in Glascow, Scotland.

According to The Guardian, the patient is thought to have had contact with one person who has since been isolated for study.

The patient was reported to have been screened in Sierra Leone and at Heathrow before he was transferred to Glascow

The flight from Heathrow to Glasgow, British Airways flight BA 1478 was said to have about 71 passengers and crew, the Guardian stated.

Scotland’s first minister, Nicola Sturgeon, while speaking at a press conference in Glasgow stated that a telephone helpline has been set up for anyone who was on the Heathrow to Glasgow flight on Sunday, December 28, 2014 on which the patient arrived.
