Edo APC Youths Endorse Patrick Obahiagbon For Senate

Must read

As the 2015 election approaches, the All Progressives Congress (APC) youths in Edo South have on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 endorsed Patrick Obahiagbon, the chief of staff to the governor of Edo state to run for a seat in the senate to represent Edo south senatorial district, Vanguard reports.

The youths asked the leadership of the APC to throw their weight behind Obahiagbon, popular for his compound vocabulary, as they said he performed above par during his time as a member of the house of representatives.

The assertion was made via a statement signed by Kola Edokpayi and Iyamu Osaro and read in parts: “No reasonable Edo man will detest the fact that Obahiagbon’s voice was loud and clear in agitating the right of the common man during debates on the floor of the House. Also, he has demonstrated absolute loyalty to his party APC and to the Edo State government where he is currently a serving Chief of Staff.”

The youths further warned the party leadership against picking a candidate that does not enjoy the support of youths and masses in the state, as Obahiagbon has continued to prove himself his current capacity as chief of staff to the governor.

“Hence, we call on leaders of APC in Edo South to support the candidature of Obahiagbon to secure victory for the party in the forthcoming general elections,” the statement concluded.
