The police in Zimbabwe have arrested a father for allegedly flogging his 13-year-old son to death because he farted while the family were eating.
The 48-year-old man identified as Solomon Musavengana hails from in Masvingo province, Zimbabwe.
According to reports, Musavengana whipped his son with a ‘sjambok’ in the kitchen after the encounter where the family were taking their dinner.
A source who witnessed the incident narrated how the deceased identified as Munyaranzi Musavengana fell near the kitchen door and hit his head on the floor during his escape bid.
The visibly irked father reportedly chased his son and when he finally caught up with him, he violently whipped him several times.
Following the encounter, the deceased boy began to complain of a terrible headache and efforts to save him proved abortive as he subsequently collapsed and died shortly after.
His body was deposited at a mortuary while his father is expected to appear in court soon after necessary investigation.
