Gombe: Boko Haram Carts Away 8 Vans Filled With Dynamites

Residents of Ashaka, the factory site of the popular Asaka Cement in Gombe State, said the suspected Boko Haram terrorists, who raided the community on Tuesday carted away dynamites fully loaded into eight Toyota Hilux vans, a Punch report said.
A security source who pleaded anonymity due to the sensitivity of the issue, had on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, disclosed to journalists that seven travellers were killed along the Gombe-Potiskum highway around Fika town.
This dynamite looted by the insurgents had increased  the insecurity in the nation especially among the resdents of the North-East, who forsee more serious attacks by the insurgents.
It could be recalled that many people were feared dead an attack by the Boko Haram militants on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, on the border towns of Yobe and Gombe states of Nafada and Funakaye Local Government areas of Gombe State as well as Ngalda and Fika in Fika Local government area of Yobe State.
The residents of Ashaka had disclosed that the terrorists had invaded  the town and later  started to preach an unusual Islamic ideologies.
One of the residents said, “Yes, the group came here without killing anybody but they went away with eight Toyota Hilux belonging to Ashaka cement Plc which they fully loaded with dynamites taken from the production site of the company after preaching their ways to the residents they assembled in one place.”
