Holy typo! No one is perfect, even the Pope.
The pontiff thoughtfully took to Twitter Wednesday to urge his 4.4 million followers to pray for the miners killed in a devastating explosion in Turkey and for the latest victims of the tragic shipwreck in the Mediterranean.
But unfortunately a slight slip of the keyboard left an entirely different message, that immediately prompted some EXTREMELY explicit responses that we here at the Huffington Post UK would never repeat.
The Pope may have only said “spray” instead of “pray,” but it turns out this is apparently an x-rated remark, if your mind is constantly in the gutter.
Let us spray for the miners who died in Turkey and for the latest victims of shipwreck in the Mediterranean

Other, more clean-minded, Twitter users were quick to point out the error to his holiness in a more polite manner:
@Pontifex unfortunate typo there Your Holiness, but I agree with the intended sentiment.

@Pontifex pope made a typo. That’s ok he’s never claimed to be perfect

The original tweet has now been deleted and replaced with a typo-free version.
Let us pray for the miners who died in Turkey and for the latest victims of shipwreck in the Mediterranean.

@Pontifex I already sprayed. Forget it.
